For many artists, winter is a time to relax and prep for the coming year. This is
not true for London’s FICTION PLANE, who is not only heading out on the road, but
they have also recently released a brand new video for their single “It’s A Lie”.
This is the fourth single from the band’s acclaimed studio release LEFT SIDE OF THE
BRAIN, which was released through Bieler Bros. Records.

The conceptual video, directed by bassist/vocalist Joe Sumner’s brother, Jake, is a
humorous parody of the 1983 Tom Cruise vehicle RISKY BUSINESS. Satirically in line
with FICTION PLANE’s progressive alternative, funk rock prose, “It’s A Lie” captures
the true spirit of the band. Says Sumner of the video, “We are all so excited to
finally debut the new video. It's so long overdue, but worth the wait!”

Featuring the aforementioned Sumner (firstborn of rock legend Sting), journeyman
guitarist Seton Daunt and jazz-trained, American drummer Pete Wilhoit, FICTION PLANE
has wowed audiences the world over. The band opened for THE POLICE’s 2007-08 reunion
tour, as well as shaken theaters with THE BRAVERY and amphitheaters as part of the
2008 Unity Tour with 311 and SNOOP DOGG.

Now FICTION PLANE is on the road one last time for 2008, performing a run of their
favorite theaters in Central Europe, which will culminate in a highly anticipated
tour closer on December 7th at the renowned PARADISO THEATRE in Amsterdam. The
band’s extremely energetic live show will be simulcast on the Internet at
www.fabchannel.com, for fans all around the world to enjoy. The performance is
scheduled to begin at 3:30pm EST.

FICTION PLANE tour dates include:

12/3/2008 Marseille, France @ Espace Julien
12/4/2008 Montpellier, France @ Rockstore
12/5/2008 Paris, France @ Elysée Montmartre
12/6/2008 Lille, France @ Splendid
12/7/2008 Amsterdam, Netherlands @ Paradiso

Following the tour, the band plans to celebrate the holidays with family (Wilhoit is
a recent new father), but the band is primed for business. Wilhoit explains, “2009
will be the YEAR OF THE PLANE! We are excited about getting into a studio and making
another album. Since we toured so much this year, Fiction Plane has gelled and
become a true band. We have taken the music to a new level, and I am super excited
to see what come out next! It's going to be huge!"”
